csa
What turbo should I choose it I want the fastest spooling possible for approx 500bhp at 1.3 bar (maybe 1.5) and completely stock engine
tbourner
T67 DBB seems to be a winner. But what do I know!
RobSheffield
Maybe even try GT35R?
Alex
Fastest spooling will be the GT35R. You'll need to run about 1.4bar though to hit 500HP. The T67DBB wouldn't spool as quick but will achieve 500HP at 1.2bar.
Ryan.G
What kind of power figures are people seeing at 1.2 on gt4088 turbos on stock engines. Using my spread sheet last night i worked out it to be around 480bhp at Fly
Wez
My PHR stage 1 spools pretty quick and at 1.4bar made 510hp at SRR.
paul mac
My PHR stage 1 spools pretty quick and at 1.4bar made 510hp at SRR. same here BL T61, if you want fast spool go with the T61 (or PHR) you wont spool any quicker and have more than enough power to blow off anything

stupra
What turbo would you recommend for J spec stock engine with auto transmission? Either a BL t61, or a PHR stage one kit i'd say, these are good for the auto Supra's. You'll need a cooler for the gearbox also.

SteveL
Agreed. PHR Stage 1 or BL T61. Cheers, Dusty ... yep. I run a gt61/62 ( according to Obiwan who built it... ) and I can't believe the spool on that - its superb for track use on twisties as you don't have to worry about bogging down. paul mac
Gt35r hmmmm well done lots of thought went into that mate;) , seriously though if you want the quickest spooling turbo how quicker would a DBB on a T61 be just looking at powerhouse racing site and they list stage 1 (T61/60)Price: $1150 Std. Bearing, $1850 Ball-Bearing thats quite a hike in price does anyone on here run a T61 DBB ?
Nic
Gt35r The DBB GT35R/GT3582R must be one of the fastest spooling turbos available for the Supra. Mine makes positive boost around 2K rpm.
