Supragal
Talk about smoke screen if it was them. Thing is, in nearly every case like this where the police have got nowhere, it turns out to be the parents. I hope for their sake it isn't, they will get strung up. Pete
For the record I haven't been away this year your honour. Nightmare! I'd go spare if I didn't get away at least once a year. In every film, tv program, real life cases it's nearly always someone close to the victim. I too said that from day one. Does that make me a woman? Gazboy
I've long suspected the old man was involved. Be interesting to see what happnes with the half mill their charity raised.

SupraChick
Would they though, social services are terrible in the Uk from alot of the stories i have read on the news. Extremely wierd that her blood is found in the car they hired 25 days AFTER she went missing. I suspect the parents. I agree. God bless her, where-ever she is! Jake
I don't buy it that it was the parents what dunnit - because of the great big fuss they've made out of the whole thing. I know if I'd bumped someone off I wouldn't be trying to keep it alive in the media and the public eye. These aren't a couple of idiots. They're professional, intelligent people. I'm pretty sure that if they were guilty they'd have thought it through as to the best way to get away with it, and making a huge media circus of the whole affair certainly isn't that. Rob
It's a classic technique, murderers always have to get involved, "return to the scene" as it were. Maybe they thought they were clever enough not to get caught. Ian Huntley was very active in the search for Holly & Jessica's killer, Sion Jenkins did a TV appeal to find his daughter's killer. Shipman used to put himself in the media a lot, as well.
matt k
FWIW, I think that they were leaving the children unattended on a regular basis and that while the children were alone an accident has happened (Maddie slipped and bashed her head, consumed something toxic or something similar, also there are allegations that the couple were sedating the children) and the parents have panicked and got rid of the body. I did that last year with a bit of November and January, quite a shock to the system when you go back though.

There was a woman that went missing a few years back where I used to live, and her husband went on TV numerous times pleading with her to come home as he missed her and all that. Turns out he had murdered her, then him and his brother cut her up in the bath and disposed of the bits around the town!! he dumped her arms and legs on the railway tracks right next to my mates house.
