Mike B
Busy at work today and two short stocky guys come in... They speak to my colleague and when I get free I hear they've flashed customs badges (crockett and tubby style) and ask to test the company vans and a rep's van for dodgy diesel. Pretty random... I thought these guys were an urban myth... Driving a big white van with yellow flasing lights and a customs sign between. I told them I'd be inspecting their work to check they hadn't nicked any diesel. They did not have a sense of humour. One of the chaps who works for us is a retired sergeant of 35 years. He was all for inviting them to sit outside the gates half a mile away and wait until we entered a public road. A few of our customers run their vans on cooking fat from makro.. but none today. Kranz
I've heard that when running red diesel or cooking oil you should always have a false tank, so when its dipped real diesel comes out. But I didn't tell ya...... right? Cos its illegal
hiten55
excuse my stoooopidity but why is it illegal?
merckx
It's cheaper because a lower rate of tax is imposed on it, only farmers and fisherman/boaters are allowed to use it.
Pot
Maybe another board would be the best place for this?...

ivan
and the army,I well remember one of our guys flogging dodgy diesel to the local farmers round Warminster. He used to leave 25 gallon drums in hedgerows for them to fill up. Yes, he got caught...
