AndyT
Hi Brett Odds on favourites mate. Iridium IK22 +10k plus miles but cost 60 quid. NGK BCPK7ES = 3k miles at 14 quid. Do the right thing mate. Go with the flow on this one. The number of problems I've uncovered using cheap shite on basics is incredible and expensive. Andy

Paul Whiffin
Go with NGK iridiums, we swear by them here from stock to 1000bhp+++, loads in stock if required, £51 + delivery and VAT. Ta
Tricky-Ricky
I guess its down to personal choice, but i do know a lot of people who don't like denso iridiums for the reasons i have mentioned, they are just to fragile, i don't mind changing plugs every 6-10,000 mls the NGKs will last that easy, if you want long lasting plugs then get some platinums. Homer
Just posted something related to this in another thread: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?p=1455860#post1455860 I don't understand why iridiums are worth all the extra money, they're almost twice as expensive to use as copper plugs. robin
Is it really nessecary to replace the plugs that often? There is a notice stuck in the engine bay on mine which says platinum spark plugs need replacing every 60,000 miles. Or is that just toyota being optimistic? merckx
Or is that just toyota being optimistic? No, it's probably us being pessimistic. But that'll be for a standard car. Most of us will probably change them more often necessary just to be on the safe side.
