dangerous brain
You tried searchin through the ICE section or asking matt harwood at sextons directly?
stt
A standard battery should suffice unless you are running serious ice in which case go to your local car audio place but thesies are around £250 each!
dangerous brain
or you could always get a higher rated battery than the standard one. I beleive serious ICE'rs use capacitors an all that jazz as well though don't they? More an ICE question than a technical one really.
nic_f
Ok Another Battery Related question. Why are my j-spec battery terminals different to a uk spec car, and arethey easy to change? Ta Nic
Jason
I've got a 1 Farrad powercap and an Exide heavyduty battery for my car. I had to put extensions onto the terminals to make it fit. I would go for an Optima Yellow Top battery, these can be bought with terminals either side and they fit nicely where the original battery carrier is. nic_f
Hi Jason, What does the power cap do, I've always wondered? Jason
It basically stores a small charge so that when the system hits a large bass note, the amp(s) doesn't take power directly from the battery. You don't get fading headlights/dashboard when giving the stereo what for!

Had to get the terminals on the lead changed to fit onto the new battery I bought, also had to bodge the bracket across the top to fit over the wider battery. New terminals were £6, battery was £65, fitting was £35.

Barnstormer
just had my battery go as well. Popped down to Halfords as I can walk there and was totally surprised to find a lad in the shop who knew all about J-spec Supras. Anyway, fixed me up with one of their own brand ones model HB054 which is a heavy duty one. It fits perfectly to the stock connectors and is also a perfect fit in the battery compartment. Even better £40 with a 3 year warranty. Took me 2 mins to fit and works a treat. Just been up to Chris Wilson's place for some stuff and even he said it fitted and looked good.
