Armin
I just installed my 3" frontpipe and the midpipe in the same dimension, the exhaust system is a stainless 2,5" powerflow it says on the mufflers.. The car is a japspec equipped with the mods above plus hks airfiltre, greddy bcc...But the boost wouldnt go over 0,9bar. What is wrong? i havent even installed the restrictor-ring between the pipes.. any ideas? its full flowing now bot the boost is only 0,9bar.. this sucks. Tricky-Ricky
Are you sure that the second turbo is working/spooling up?
mikeyb10supra
if its recent.....give the ECU time to adjust or reset it
merckx
Aren't the Powerflow exhausts custom made? Making it a possibility that the exhaust could be too restrictive!
Armin
The second turbo is working, it comes in at 4k rpm. I´m on the same track as merckx, i will change the exhaust to a 3" coming weekend. Mickey: i will try the ecu reset idea.

Armin
3" exhaust fitted today, the car bulilds up 1,1bar boost then when the rev is about 4,8k-6k it .. missfires ore something, sure sounds like it anyway? misfire usual at 1,1bar-1,2bar? Ric
no, unless your hitting fuel cut, Fit a FCD, stock fuel cut is 1.0bar for 3 seconds, then its like a brick wall and a warning light on the dash If your just getting a misfire you need to change the plugs for a colder version. flukey-lukey
Change the plugs... Denso IK22 are fine. Also fit a Fuel Cut Defender, if you don't do these supporting mods you'll end up hitting fuel cut and losing 'races' to much more superior supras (mainly black ones) as Ric found out the other week

Armin
i got the greddy bcc. change tghe plugs for colder? , that has nothing to do with missfire, i might however decrease the electrode distance on the plugs, 0,7mm?

jakewebster
Sounds like your hitting the raised fuel cut, 1.2 bar with the greddy fcd. Are you using a restrictor ring? I have a restrictor ring in mu=ine but boosted to 0.9 with it in and well over 1.2 with it out (hitting duel cut). I machined my restrictor ring down .5mm at a time until i got a steady 1.1. Hope this helps.
jamesmark
Ok you have a greddy FCD, have you set it? if you have how did you set it? The Greddy FCD is NOT plug and play (or solder and play if you want to split hairs) As mentioned check for boost leaks, also when you come to fit a restrictor ring it is best to fit a 1.0 bar one and then get a boost controller to raise the boost to 1.2 bar. Sparks IK22's or as what I have IK24's with no gap. Also what state is your side mount intercooler in? Do the fins break away when you run your finger along it? if so get it changed ASAP. If you want to go double decat then I suggest you Contact Nic on here as he has the best for prices at the moment for replacement replacement ones a front mount intercooler is OTT for BPU. I have went full BPU and I have still to fit the FCD (am to lazy) and I boost to just a touch under 1.0 bar but I do hold back!! thats not full throttle. Armin
I have set the outoput voltage at the Bcc to 4,3volts. My smic is in pretty bad shape, the thing is that the car feels slower revving up from 5k-7k y ou could say that theres no idea revving over 5k.. boaring as hell.. I have a 4row ic that will be bolted on sunday. The thing is that i have double catback and no restrictor ring, the boost is still max 1,1-1,2bar and there are no leaks. Im afraid that it could be the fuelpump or something, feels almost as it leans out.

jamesmark
You really need to upgrade the fuel pump too mate, thats what I was trying to remember lastnight.

jamesmark
This probably wont allow you boost up to 1.2bar freely. Some cars don't you are not alone. It depends on how well the car has been maintained aswell.

jamesmark
It may just be as simple as you will need a BC to raise the boost there might not be anything wrong with it, then again there might be.
Armin
something is fucking wrong.. the car isent fast at all.. its slower than stock.. thats the biggest concern.. when i had stock boost.. 0,7-0,75 it was way faster. The boost today is 1-1,1bar, it a bit bumpy while revvinng u p.. its hesitating..
