Marty
Well, have reinsured my supra today... with a-plan, with a single turbo conversion and like for like... £580, which is excellent. Paid the deposit of £150, and £50 a month, which isnt so bad either. The last thing she said to me is... your no claims arent over 2years old are they? (in other words, have i had my no claims sitting there for over 2years without adding to them). Which i replied no. But after sitting here, and thinking about it, i wasnt so sure... so ive been rooting about, and found my proof of no claims, and it bloody is its dated 12/2/2005. BUGGER. So basically, the 5years no claims i had, is gone!!! im back to square one and no no claims. doh. I had no idea that it run out? So im going to have to ring them back up, i'll do it tomorrow now. Ive had a quick check to see if it'll make a huge amount of difference, and it doesnt seem like it. With admiral, insurance on a twin turbo with 5yrs, for me is... £350, with no no claims its £470. Hopefully it'll be similar with a-plan, im still gutted though as ive lost 5years of no claims.
Alex
No, I think you lose a year at a time usually.
Steve
I had the same problem before i got the Supe. I had 6 NCB, but because 2 years had past without insurance, i lost all of it. I had to start again but am back up to 3 years, so getting there
Marty
No, I think you lose a year at a time usually. Are you sure? You mean i loose a year, per year i dont have insurance? i hope your right, means i would be down to 3years no claims which isnt so bad

Ahh well, after the money ive spent on the single conversion etc, i gues a few more hundred isnt going to hurt
AndyT
Could be costly mate. Lost all my ncb when the rules changed and I was unaware of it. That was 9 years ago bud so I'm crossing fingers for you now.
tooquicktostop
£580 for a single is real cheap, I could not get near that and I am 35 with 9 years NCB Hope you get it sorted anyway

Guest mk47
do they do agreed value ? seems a very good price you have got there A-Plan do not do agreed value. Its true if you are not insured constantly for 2 years then you lose all of your ncb.. its a right pain.
Marty
Ive always had cheap insurance quotes, i live in a very low crime rate area so i think thats the main reason. Doesnt seem agreed value no. Ahh well, hopefully it wont be too costly fingers crossed anyway
