paul_y3k
my parent are retiring to spain the end of this month. as part of the move the dog is going with them. so far all the information we can find is about bringing pets backwards and forwards - where as they are looking to only go one way. I know it's a long shot, but anyone have any experience in this ? I found lots of companys that will do the transport 9allthough I'm going to do that bit myself) but none of them give much info on jabs etc.
Supragal
Vet. Ring your vet and ask exactly what is required, they will know. Prob worth getting jabs done to come back (for visits,) else doggy will be stuck somewhere alone
paul_y3k
tried 3 vets in swindon ... all have come back with different answers. Sorry to say but I dont trust vets advice as they only seem to recommend actions that will earn them money
AndyT
You do need the microchip and pet passport mate. Check on your pooches rabies vaccination. Make sure pooch has it. PDSA / RSPCA will advise much more accurately. Luck mate.
Shadow Beast
Speak to your vet, I think they will need pet passports and certain jabs.

MrAngry
In that case, there are no restrictions for taking the dog out of the country. As long as it is fit to travel, proof of which is usually a requirement for airlines.

Vantage
the one and only CORRECT source for the Spanish legislation in bringing a dog into spain, is from the Spanish Embassy , as it is they that form the legislation in the first place http://www.maec.es/Consulados/Londres/en/Home/ hope this helps James Bulldogs from Sth Africa, Sharpei's from Israel and London
