From the BBC;

The Spaniard had misgivings as soon as he joined the team at the end of 2006, he told Spain's Cadena Ser radio.

He said: "From the first moment, I wasn't completely comfortable. I am in an English team, with an English team-mate, who is doing brilliantly.

"We knew all the support and help would go his way. It is something I understand and I'm not complaining."

That's a disgusting thing to say in an interview... For all the money they get paid, all the development, he then has a few bad races and calls his team racist! nice guy....

I wish Lewis Hamilton the very best of luck, however I don't think he needs it. It is great to see a magnificent driver from the UK. It would be great for him to be one of the all time greats. My only worry is the media, as they just love to stab the successful in the back, it is the one thing at which the English press excel.

From a poster on the BBC website

"Whenever anyone with any talent shows up, these moaners start to talk down their achievements. When the likes of Lauda, Moss, Stewart and Hill start talking about this talent called Hamilton I tend to stop, listen and take notice. Why? Because these men have been there, done it and done it alongside some of the greats. They are also among the greats of F1.

The English seem to take delight in decrying home grown talent and I can't understand why. What sort of motivation is it for sportsmen when all they hear is negativity. Hamilton has done something that no-one, hear that gorby, no-one has done before. Ever. We don't have to wait until he proves himself to be great, he already has. If an ignorant man says otherwise then he really should expect to be ignored."
