hadyn
Hello all, Is anyone using Virgins £30 a month TV/Broadband/Phone combo deals? Whats the service like? Do you get good reliable broadband and tv etc? Virgin seem to have the best monthly deal when compared to sky/bt etc if you need your phone tv and broadband sorted in one go... Whadda all think? Bobbeh
Got the lot apart from the mobile, no complaints here.. but the TV isnt as good as Sky for choice atm.. however OnDemand is very useful.
Henk
I have the lot too except Mobile, and certainly no complaints at all. Everything works a treat, been with NTL since 2001 and never had an issue. 10Mb Cable (about to go 20mb) is swift as you like!
Pete
Works fine, however I'm thinking of dropping all the TV as we don't watch any of it now SkyOne has gone. Our box is about 8 years old and a little clunky on the interface, TV listing etc much slower to appear. Sometimes locks up (but I expect sky is the same). Occasionally the picture on lesser channels can be noticeably pixelated - but you might not notice that on most TVs. Sadly it only broadcasts in stereo so surround sound is shite. Net access is superb.
suprarob
hi mate We have everything through Virgin full tv package with V+ phone line full internet and mobil We have had excellent service from them We changed because sky gave us the worst customer service imaginable and when we looked into the costs Virgin gave us the best price
Andy-No-Knee
I agree with Rob. I changed from Sky who were really taking the piss to Virgin and when I rang up to cancel Sky suddenly they were very polite and were offering me all sorts to stay. Items which they had previously turned me down for. The Broard band is great, and I found that the phone line as it is run through the cable too was of a better quality than the BT line. The only slight down side is no Sky 1, and therefore I missed the last haft of this season's 24. But never mind. I like the on demand stuff from Virgin too, and use the digital recording box alot. Andy-No-Knee
Do it on line and you save money. Say you were recamended and give them the tel number of the person who recamended you and then they get a little gift too! (half price for a month I think.) hadyn
How long do you have to wait to have everything switched on/receive modem/box?
Andy-No-Knee
You book a date with them for them to come round and fit it. They do a good job and take care too. I waited 2 weeks simply because I wanted the direct debit to come out on a cirtan date. The dd comes out 28 days (IIRC) after they fit it. I wanted it at the begining of the month so I had to wait. But if that doesnt bother you then they will be able to fit you in rather quickly I think. It also depmnds on if you already have cable in your street and connected to your house. A privious owner of my house did, so it was really quick, they were her for about 3 hours, fitting a box in the front room and another in the bedroom, then wiring in the pc. They only supplied one tel box though, which wasnt a problem as I have the walkabout phones.
