Hy-Performance Posted September 29, 2004 Share Posted September 29, 2004 Hi all, Which is the best exhaust to get, just looking for back box, Need it to be loud but not over the top and to not have much of an effect on MPG (as i have seen that some peoples exhausts have affected this).... Clarkey Posted September 29, 2004 Share Posted September 29, 2004 RSR gets my vote. a) It's v.unrestrictive ... almost a straight pipe b) Imo - is louder than Blitz c) I've got one ... complete with decat pipes. d) Ground clearance for speedbumps is better on the RSR than Blitz Ppl here, I've noticed will either favour the Blitz or RSR to these kind of threads. With either, you'll still get a) A nice sound b) People staring at you - as you drive past c) Annoyed Neighbours d) An exhaust system - that is unrestrictive & better than the stock. fredm Posted September 30, 2004 Share Posted September 30, 2004 Hi boys and girls, only had a Soop for a fortnight but thoughts are turning to replacing the exhaust system. Especially as I have been told that a complete de-cat with a less restrictive back box can release up to 25bhp on a standard motor. Thing is, while it would be nice to have a fruitier sound while whizzing through the welsh countryside it would really anoy me to have to listen to a droning exhaust while travelling along the motorway.
