Which is the best exhaust?

Hy-Performance

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

Which is the best exhaust to get, just looking for back box,

Need it to be loud but not over the top and to not have much of an effect on MPG (as i have seen that some peoples exhausts have affected this)....

At the moment i think the exhaust is HKS Hyper,

Thinking of Blitz NUR Spec but never heard one!!!

Kindest Regards

Chris

ive got a hyper and no cats ,it may be cheaper but it is pretty loud and sounds quite mean, just go balls out and buy a hks racing titanium they sound awesome and they only cost a mere 1000 quid :p

greddy power extremes sound ok too ,theres plenty of choice

RSR gets my vote.

a) It's v.unrestrictive ... almost a straight pipe

b) Imo - is louder than Blitz

c) I've got one ... complete with decat pipes.

d) Ground clearance for speedbumps is better on the RSR than Blitz

Ppl here, I've noticed will either favour the Blitz or RSR to these kind of threads.

With either, you'll still get

a) A nice sound

b) People staring at you - as you drive past

c) Annoyed Neighbours :)

d) An exhaust system - that is unrestrictive & better than the stock.

Nur Spec all day!!!!!!

Sounds awesome but I have Full system though - no cats

Cant see it making much differance to the sound with cats in!

Scotty

I've got the same as Scotty and I couldn't be happier with the sound. I don't listen to the radio, I drive everywhere with the window down and have a big grin on my face:)

It's a 6" Trial back box - dunno where you'd get it from as mine was on when I got the car.

Always sounded nice before the decat too btw. :D

£634 then your shipping and taxes

have seen the blitz nur spec as low as £275 in america, you have shipping and taxes. they get some right bargains over there.

the hks titanium is £333 then you have to pay shipping and taxes

Hi boys and girls, only had a Soop for a fortnight but thoughts are turning to replacing the exhaust system. Especially as I have been told that a complete de-cat with a less restrictive back box can release up to 25bhp on a standard motor.

Thing is, while it would be nice to have a fruitier sound while whizzing through the welsh countryside it would really anoy me to have to listen to a droning exhaust while travelling along the motorway.

Does a system exist which is quiet at a constant 70mph but then comes alive when the boost comes on?
