the_host
Big problem here guys with my AT J-spec TT 93, when pressing the overdrive button the "OD off" light on the dash goes on and off. However OD is always on, its just not going into ththat 4th gear. BTW, When putting on some mud guards the body shop guy screwed through and sheared about 4 wires in the driverside wiring loom. It did start to burn until they disconected the battery, they taped it back up but now the OD problem occured and i cant take it back to them as im going on a road trip tomorrow Thanks
Henk
I had the same problem when one connection of the speed convertor was lose. That'll be one of the lines they sawed through then? (Not much help, sorry, not electrical techie)
the_host
The speedo and rev counter still work tho, I may have to have a look myself and see if i can see any more broken wires. Any other suggestions? Cheers
JustGav
From memory, the drivers side loom has nothing to do with engine/gearbox... How they managed to catch 4 wires putting on mudflaps would worry me, as the gromit is actually a fair old distance in and a complete pain in the ass when you are purposely trying to run wires through it. Perhaps check the connectors on the gearbox underneath the car to see if they haven't been twisted/pulled.
