mattanna
to have a great diff and prop shaft that will handle the big power properly you will probably have to spend more than most people spend on their entire list of mods, custom made at least

Wait till he sobers up and gets the bill Jamie, not sure if you've heard of them before but you can get prop guards which in the event of a prop or major diff failure stop the prop taking out your floorpan and exhaust. Might be worth considering if you are keeping the car. It might also be time to get a proper diff

Terminator
This car is going to start to give the supra a bad name with so many bits breaking. Just glad Jamie is OK a prop through the floor pan or tunnel is no joke.
tDR
Nutter, but I can't really comment because I have a similar level of mechanical sympathy What kinda fluid have you been using in your diffs Jamie? Worth a change? How about a decent diff fluid cooler? Cheers, Brian.
pistonbroke
Can you not get the diff uprated someway? possibly by using dog teeth planet gears, it'd make the whiney noise you hear in rally cars, but it'd be much much stronger. here's a vid of jamie blowing his diff the first time , its at the end of the clip. http://media.putfile.com/ace-cafe-meet
colsoop
Blimey Just think if you bought another car you wouldn't be able to drive it like that. Imagine the cost of doing that to a porsche
Chris Wilson
But these cars will handle 1000 BHP on stock drivelines.... Up the power, put in a tight LSD and big back tyres and somethings got to give. Big HP engines are all well and good, but Toyota designed and built a nice GT car, not a drag racer. I dont think its a overheating fluid issue, rather the opposite, both times ive broke them is when the cars been sitting for couple hours, i started it up to warm the engine then had it and its broke with cold diff fluid so that may be the issue, next time ill go round the block first:D
