lockys96
i changed my rear lights to the facelift ones, iv had the foglight mod put in before and it worked fine. the problem now though, is when i switch the fog light on, it lights up one of the reverse lights!!!! what the hell could be different, i thought it would just be plug in and play
SupraAyf
Si, If I'm down tomorrow sorting my Figgy's then I'll take a look at it for you mucka. It sounds as if the +ve power from the fog light switch is feeding directly in to the closed loop circuit of the light cluster;)
lockys96
seems weird, as all i did was change the lights. cant see why the loom would differ, its hard wired into there somewhere

lockys96
right, it apears the old pre-facelift rear lights had a red bulb fitted to one of the reverse lights, making it a fog light when switched on. the facelift bulbs have slightly different connectors, so i was wondering where can i get a replacement bulb, BUT IN RED? squiffy
ebay is always a good bet, every type of bulb you could ever want on there!

cheekymonkey
Sorry to ressurrect this - but I am in the same boat. Need a new "fog light" which is actually a reverse light in a facelift, but painted/coated RED Did you get anywhere with this?
QSC
What you do is search for foglight conversion mod & convert your inner brake lights to work as fogs.

Sorry, I already have the mod, but the bulb needs replacing, that's all. It's a very weird bulb
QSC
That snot what I mean - the proper mod doesn't convert a reversing light, it converts two of your brakelights into fogs, then you don't need a red bulb
