Rayman
Ok here's the story, ive had an exhaust fitted at Hyper on Thursday, its a HKS carbon Ti, now they had to modify it to fit slightly due to me missing a part, i think its the exhaust hanger or something like that. Anyway its rattling like hell due to it being metal on metal, i really need to find out what part im missing here so has anyone got the Toyota database of part no's, i think its the EPC catalogue or something. Its the one that shows all the pictures of the parts and the part no's beside. Has anyway got the exhaust part of that so i can hopefully identify what im missing. Thanks, im really depressed about this now, i hate driving my car at the moment all cos of this exhaust, wish id never changed it now! Sat there with it rattling like hell, everyone staring at me! Guttted!
Rayman
Some pictures of what i have at the moment. First one is how its connected, they had to drill a new hole thru the mounting part on the exhaust because i had this part missing. Im missing a rubber exhaust mount here am i? http://img128.imageshack.us/img128/3118/p1010137su6.jpg
Ric
get some thick rubber hosing and slip it over the cylinder metal part, that will stop your rattling

Rayman
Is this just a tow hook this thing to the right in the picture, nothing to do with the exhaust? http://img371.imageshack.us/img371/6071/p1010138wb9.jpg

DamanC
Looks like you have a non standard exhaust bracket, so its sitting about an inch too high. Replace the exhaust bracket (£10 mr T) and get an O ring too and it should sit away from the knocking bit. Hope that helps buddy.
Rayman
Yeh thanks man, gonna try and tie some rubber stuff round where the metal connects first. The fit is perfect, it sits bob on and looks great but damn rattle!
DamanC
Personally i would get the proper bracket buddy. The way it has just been bolted to your bracket isnt a good thing. It doesnt allow any movement of the exhaust itself, which wont allow it to move with the engine when it does.
uk-rich
i think i have the rear bracket somewhere if you need it
Rayman
Yeh just had another look now, i think i can see where it should be, its finding the bracket now, im clueless with what it looks like. I think im gonna need a part number before approaching Mr T. Wonder if there's any cars being broken at the moment, not even sure if it comes off, or mines just broken off. Its so difficult without ramps tho!

Rayman
Just staggered accross this, anyone know whether this is the correct part i require, take a look bottom right of the pic, think it is labelled 3 but looks more like an S! http://img530.imageshack.us/img530/8517/exhaustdn6.jpg
DamanC
Its the 3/S bit you need. Get an O ring too. Mr T has them but you will probably need to wait a few days.
