Matt H
I disagree with Emily getting a raw deal. She said that people say it around her all the time which makes me think that she and all her friends are stuck up toffs who are being blatantly racist, maybe she is just to thick to realize it. However i am of the agreement that if its ok for black people to use the word then why shouldnt everyone, you cant have double standards. tbh with you tho i think she was bullshitting about people saying it all the time around her, think she was just that to try and give an excuse for her being an idiot! Yeah, she knew that she had done something wrong and tried to wriggle out of it. I don't think she is Racist but after last year, what other choice did they have. Bet she will be popular back home. dangerous brain
She didn't say that though. I watched it back 4 times thats what it sounded like. I watched it 4 times because I couldn't believe my ears.

Charlotte
And it was such a random thing to say, it was so completely unconnected to anything else they were saying.
mathew
but how did charley get away with telling one of the housemates (cant remember which one) to paint her face black?
DannyW
And it was such a random thing to say, it was so completely unconnected to anything else they were saying. We've all said random words at odd moments though havent we? i accidentally said the words "F*ck" and "C*ck" in a single phone call to my mother the other week. I was mortified, she didn't seem bothered. I think that yes she was stupid to say it, but i don't think we need to hang her out to dry for it. There are lots of far more serious things going on in the world.

Charlotte
They weren't directed at your mother though were they or were you saying f*ck you c*ck to her? Emily's comments were directed at the person she was talking to ie Charley and it was a bit of a weird thing to say. I'm not suggesting I completely agree with the actions of BB I'm merely stating it was a random thing to say. She probably banters the word around with her middle class white friends, I'm sure it's not a problem then.

Anna was the lesbian. Nice lass. Met her at Leeds train station about a year after BB1. Down to earth, normal person. Shame she didn't win. Wayney
I think the whole show is rubbish, and its like a nasty ulcer in your mouth thats over stayed its welcome! The celebrity one bak in Jan, was make or break for a show with flagging viewers, they kept Jade in the push up ratings! But it obviously back fired!! The show is pointless, dull and drab. I love the way people say I hate her or shes a bitch or such a cow, or he's a wanker I want him out!! Well you've never met him or her and you drawing judgment based on edited TV footage!! COME ON!! Lastly just wondered y did they choose that jordie lad to do the voice over? Nothing wrong with the jordie accent, just wondered? Last point, how irritating is that Divina woman "BIG BROTHER HOUSE, THIS IS DIVINA!"
RedM
"BIG BROTHER HOUSE, THIS IS DIVINA!" You are live on TV. Don't say f**k or b*gger.

michael
An interesting article on the subject and one relating to it: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/magazine/6740445.stm
dangerous brain
im sure charleys been called worse things.i feel she played on it knowing the reactions that it would cause. Oh yeah she played on it. The contestants this time round are a tad more aware of the way to make it work for them than their predecessors (emily accepted here) and she saw a way of upping herself whilst getting shot of emily who she probably saw as a bit of a threat as she was so bolshy/outspoken and threatening. Also anyone with half a brain would see that the other daft bint up for eviction would be easier to get rid of later down the line than emily should the opportunity not be taken to get rid of emily now.
