Daston
Hey guys Gave the car a good clean last night and was thinking whats the best way of getting rid of the water marks on your polished rims? Is metal polish ok or will that mark the alloy?

peter richards
what do you mean water marks , if its just from the wash , what i do is each wheel at a time , clean the rubber / brake dust and any other crap thats on there , rinse off and dry straight away
Daston
ahhh do you use a micro cloth to dry?
peter richards
no not really just towels from the house , , just do one at a time by the time youve done the fourth , the first is ready for the tyre shine or whatever you use
turbonut
I find Meguires glass cleaner is great at removing the marks if the sun gets to them before you have a chance to dry them off
colsoop
Are the rims clear coated at all ? If not then a metal polish will do just fine, use small circles to apply the polish. With another cloth use side to side strokes to remove the polish and grime (using light strokes) finally use a soft cloth to buff to a shine.
