madmunky
Im dreading finding this out in case the cars only running one turbo and the second has gone to a better place but might as well know. http://www.dungeon-maker.com/car/supra/pipes.JPG It looks like all pipes running from the second turbo have been cut and the second actuator isnt connected to anything. Is this just normall as the turbos are running parrell? Also got give this and was told this was removed to make the turbos run parrell, Is there any (easy way) of checking to see if the second turbo is spinning/working? http://www.dungeon-maker.com/car/supra/extrapipe.JPG Cheers for any replys, good or bad lol
edge
OH. You can make the tubbies run paralell without removing all that pipework. Also is there no bov? stock or aftermarket?

s3upra
Looks like alot of the sequential stuff has been butchered/removed/bypassed. To run in parallell only requires swapping two pipes over! If you work through methodically-it should be fairly easy to put it back to stock,as long as vsvs have not been broken/removed. Any idea who did this and why it was done? edge
Did you just buy it like that?
madmunky
yeah brought it like this, The car pulls really well but its losing boost just wondered if it was the second turbo not running as all the pipes are cut but guess its normall. Are all the pipes that have been cut involved in making the turbos run parrell then?
s3upra
No-there seems to be no need for the amount of butchery involved, just to run in parallel. Parallel mode on an auto is really not a great idea anyway. You really need to put it all back to stock, then figure out boost problem-if its still a problem. madmunky
poo, anyone got lots of engine bay shots I have no idea what standard is so any help would be welcome
AndyT
Turbos run sequentially mate, normally, apparently that stuff that's out has a lot to do with it. So I presume you'd run out of boost early because you haven't got the 2nd turbo coming in when the first ones peaked.
s3upra
Try here-gives great info on the sequential system, vacuum plumbing etc- http://www.max-boost.co.uk/max-boost/supra/turbo.htm
