Saw Clarkson on Friday

Class One

Recommended Posts

I saw him in Chipping Norton on Friday afternoon after another visit to the Docs driving his Lambo (is it a Gallardo) Spider.

He always likes to eat at a specific eatery which is located just off the main road through Chippy and you have to go down a very steep hill from the road to get to the car park, which in his case is the pedestrianised area right outside.

I guess he parks there because his long celebrity legs must have dodgy knees or something and he can't park legally like everybody else has to. (Tosser)

What made me laugh though, was he was a bit quick into the turning and clouted the front underside of his very expensive car. His normal ruddy( likes a drink or two) complexion suddenly turned very grey.

Well I was tempted to hang around and follow him home (all the locals know where he lives) the road by his house can be quite challenging and I'm sure it would have pissed him off having me buzzing around his rear end in my Supe. Sure on a straight he'd be away, but I'd fancy my chances through the twisties. :D

yeah would of been interesting, i can imagine his face when he's just shelled out loads on his lambo, and you can stick with him round the bends :):D

If anybody remembers one of the programs from the "Speed" series that he did, the one where he went inverted spinning in a Hunter aircraft (1950's military jet), on the day of filming I was responsable for the maintenance of the jet and getting the crew in and out.

When I strapped him in he was just a little bit nervous...

...but when I tried to get him out at the other end of the trip his legs weren't working, after a bit of a struggle he got down the aircrew steps and then promptly colapsed onto the floor in the middle of the aircraft dispersal/apron, curled up into the fetal position and honked his guts up, all the time the film crew kept rolling, even when I was standing over him laughing (I was getting my own back because I had a Vectra at the time and before he went he was remarking on how he didn't like the idea of flying in anything that had been maintained by a Vectra driver!).

Funnily enough, all of that got cut from the broadcasted material but i've still got some photo's that were taken by some of our own lads.:sly:

I found him to be quite a decend average petrolhead kinda bloke when we were talking away from the cameras.
