jamesmark
Top job! Can I advise people to have a go at a scrap panel before going at it on there Supras. It requires a bit of experience to get these kind of results! Gaz. Agreed as my supra did suffer a burn mark, but glad to say after several buffs and more G3 you cannot see it. Ric
Agreed as my supra did suffer a burn mark, but glad to say after several buffs and more G3 you cannot see it. thats the only problem with repainted cars, u never know where the laqure is thinnest, unfortunately it was very thin there as i hardly had any pressure on. got it out tho

Konrad
Don;t use Halfords cheap stuff, go for Porter Cable machine - best for amateurs, very forgiving, no burn marks and such. http://www.autopia.com - take a look there, they make nice deals on those PC, you will need transformer from http://www.screfix.com, there is also how-to on http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/ with info how to change cable to longer without using extender. Great machine, easy job - hands feels strange after hours of buzzing
Ric
any machine can burn the paint, its all in the user. Any angle grinder type machine will do the job, the only diffrence with the porter cable is that its slightly random.
flukey-lukey
Look stunning Mark And well done Ric for watching him do all the hard work Ric did mine not long ago and I was amazed with the results. Ric/Mark - You could have borrowed the machine we used on mine instead of buying one, you must have too much money

Ric
How much G3 did you use per panel and did you add water? Ive still got to sort out my bro's car at some point. good results! 1-2 penny sized blobs on the pad per panel 1 for the smaller panels 2 for the bonnet, doors etc, and yes, plenty of water
peter richards
if you are going to buy a rotary , make sure it has variable speeds . as the correct porcedure is low speed to spread the polish / compound . mid range to work it in , fast speed to break it down
