Keith C
Boost and EGT is easy - I'm going to get an A-piller pod for them. But, I also want oil pressure and oil temp (although I'm open to suggestions for other things that it's advisable to keep an eye on), and I'm baffled as to where to mount them that looks good. I don't want to remove the passenger airbag, so that's out. I want to keep air vents, so they're out, and I still have (with no intention of changing) the stock stereo, so that's out of the question. I was thinking of slightly ripping off Justin's design and mounting them next to the interior lights (only I'd be having analogue guages instead of the electronic Apexi ones), but there's nothing to buy to fit them there, and I don't have the craftmanship to make something that would look good enough. Basically - where else can I put them? I want to keep the clock too (fussy ain't I ), although the guages I'd get will probably be quite small (42mm is it?). Ideas anyone? Branners
You could mount them in the glove box, and then you can open the glovebox when you need to see them and have them out of the way otherwise. Means you lose the glovebox as useable storage though. JB
Keith C
The glovebox is classed as usuable storage? Since when? I don't like that idea much either - looks untidy. Gawd I'm a fussy sod. Hmm, I've just had an idea - I could put them on the steering column. They should be small enough not to block the dials. I'll have to measure things up... Ian C
Narrow it down a bit for us, Keith - are they allowed in the actual car? How about laterally over the ashtray? Depends on if you want to glance at them while driving or not. -Ian
Nic
Keith I've seen a twin gauge pod available that mounts on top of the steering column somewhere. I'll see if I can rememeber where I saw it and post a link. Nic
Nic
Found it! go to: http://www.mvpmotorsports.com/default.asp To the supra page then the, Gauges & Gauge Pods section there you will find an HKS 46mm Gauge Cup. Alternatively you could get a US spec left hand drive A-pillar pod and have gauges on both pillars, you'll need good eyesight though or a co-driver cheers Nic
matt
I've seen a triple pod that mounts on the side of the dash on Suprastore ....... albeit LHD I'm sure you'll be able to get a RHD version somewhere http://www.suprastore.com/tripgaugpodd.html
