Chris Wilson
Anyone know any more? http://www.pistonheads.com/news/default.asp?storyId=16293 I can't afford one, but was a great fan (still am) of the old NSX.
trooper
They sure are taking their time over getting a replacement out. I'm sure it will be a nice car (if it ever comes) but not as influential as the first model. Also a BIG fan on the NSX.
neil tt
That will be another great car I can't afford then:d
Daston
have they confirmed that this one will be FR and not MR?
SuperSupraNA
doesnt look too bad, kinda reminds of a rx8. Never really seen an NSX tho, quite nice. What kind of power do those NSX's have?
Big Ads
Yeah looks like a RX-8 S2000 hybrid.
michael
Apparently it's going to be the next Honda flagship but it isn't going to be an NSX.
Thorin
Yeah looks like a RX-8 S2000 hybrid. And the 2003 concept further down looks like a new MR-2.
Pete
Why do the concept cars always look so much cooler than the final thing?
AndrewOW
Looks like an obese S2000. I really liked the old NSX, and with a few mods, like a nicer rear spoiler, more power and a smoother shape etc, I think they could've had a winner.
lust2luv
Yeah looks like a RX-8 S2000 hybrid. That's just a test mule at the ring (clearly based on an S2000) - all the body panels will be replaced, presumably to look like one of the two NSX concepts Honda have come up with (I prefer the earlier one). dangerous brain
It'll need that v10 500 horsey motor to compete with the toyota offering that is also under cloak and dagger. Wonder if both companies are playing the waiting game to see what the other releases??
DaveK
Looks like an obese S2000. I really liked the old NSX, and with a few mods, like a nicer rear spoiler, more power and a smoother shape etc, I think they could've had a winner. It was too expensive though. Unfortunately - whether you agree with it or not, some people do pay for the badge and for £70K they don't want a Honda.
trooper
Wonder if both companies are playing the waiting game to see what the other releases?? If they are playing a waiting game then I'm fed up with their game. The quicker they get the cars on the street, the quicker they get onto the second hand market and I can buy one. When did the Supra end production? 2002? If they'd released the MKV in 2003 then it would be 4 years old now and affordable to many people. johnnyknox
Looks like a 4 seater S2000. EDIT: Ahh, I really should read these things : "Honda has been testing this odd-looking S2000 mule at the Nurburgring, which underneath the rough bodywork is the next NSX." Thorin
http://www.dieselstation.com/cars/acura-advanced-sports-car-concept-a1206.html Well it's looking better, but still front engined. Same pic as in the piston heads story but a few more now I'd not seen.
Havard
Holy thread resurrection, batman!! Looking at the pics I prefer the 2003 concept. The new one looks nothing like the original. I think it's always nice to keep some of the original features but also for it to evolve into a medern machine! H.
Ian W
If they are playing a waiting game then I'm fed up with their game If you're only planning on buying one second hand then you're hardly their target market, in which case I'm sure they don't mind that you're fed up in the slightest. Also love the old car, and a CW NSX-R is on my wanted list (only one in the country I believe though )
RiceRocket
Hope they bring a new NSX out so that the current one will depreciate to sub 10k territory Would it be right for a new NSX to be 4WD though? Why do the concept cars always look so much cooler than the final thing? The designers don't take into account things like practicality and current road safety regulations do they... Gaz Walker
http://www.dieselstation.com/pics/Acura-Advanced-Sports-Car-Concept-car-pics.jpg That looks like a concept car though, this looks like a real car Gaz.
Guest david
The way the car market is at the moment most of the car companys will put there new sports car's like the nsx and the new supra on the shelf because the market is dead and they won't want to invest too much money in car's that won't sell. Honda are relying on the new jazz to pick up there car sale's and won't want to invest in expensive gas guzzlers which have a limited market.
