Steviekid
I've been selling quite a few old toys recently and last Saturday I sold a collection of transformers for £41. The guy still hadn't paid by this morning so I investigated his history. It turns out he's relisted the toys at a higher price in an auction that ends today before he's even paid me for them! To piss me off further he's basically copy-pasted my original listing using the same photos! The items now have a bid (of £50) which has prompted him to now pay me for them. He's got two negative feedbacks for being a non-paying bidder giving me the impression that if they hadn't sold he would never have paid me for them at all. Question is what to do about it. If it only sells for £50 (£9 more) then I'm tempted just to let it go although I'll be in no hurry to send them. I refuse to let him make a larger profit on them though given the circumstances. I'm thinking wait until the auction is over them give him a refund and say the stuffs not available? I could then contact the buyer and fill them in, hopefully resulting in him getting two more negative feedbacks for being a scamming bastard. What do you guys think? If he'd paid me then sold them on I wouldn't be that bothered.

hiten55
I'm not sure if he's actually broken any rules though? 1. non payment 2. selling good that arent his (he hasnt paid yet so....) 3. allready has negative payment for non payment thats for starters, let ebay know at least so they can keep an eye on him. may be a warning for others.... Rayman
Yeh think there is a rule about copying peoples auction description.
rik
Yeah, i'd give him a refund and tell him the goods have been damaged, or something. Definitely don't let him have them, i don't recon he would have paid up if it looks like he was going to make a loss. I don't object to what he's doing, buying and selling, but it seems a bit underhand to sell before he'd even paid or actually aquired the goods. Guigsy
get in contact with his highest bidder when it ends if you can. explain, say u'll sell them for £41 to him instead. Say they are no longer available because you didnt want to sell them and have given them to your dieing niece or something. ask the guy you DO sell them to to leave him negitive feedback. Then you should also be able to leave them negitive feedback 2. also report to ebay, Tripple whammy
Steviekid
get in contact with his highest bidder when it ends if you can. explain, say u'll sell them for £41 to him instead. That was one of my other ideas. I really don't mind losing my 100% feedback (as he'll inevitably leave me some) just to piss him off.

Jake
Give us the item number so we can really bid them up and make him sick he didn't just pay you for them in the first place.
Steviekid
Give us the item number so we can really bid them up and make him sick he didn't just pay you for them in the first place. I will if it looks like he's going to make a big profit! Am I right in thinking that if I send it to him and he leaves me +ve feedback then I can leave him negative and he can't change the +ve he already left for me? Steviekid
Just this minute received an e-mail from him apologising for the late payment because he was on holiday in Cyprus! Didn't seem to stop him selling it again, or leaving feedback for other items almost every day for the past week and a half.

grahamc
ok, I agree that the not paying, or waiting to see if his ad sells for more before paying is complete wrong and out of order. however lots of people on here were all for a "certain" that got sold cheap and then re-advertised immediately for nearly double the price. lockys96
why not relist the auction, and just say bidder did not pay. or even better, email the guy who he sold it to and bypass him
Steviekid
or even better, email the guy who he sold it to and bypass him The guy that bought it has a feedback score of 1 that he gained from the same buyer so I smell a rat there too.
The Restorer
Sorry, why all the fuss over a tenner. Just send him the goods, recieve your money and leave +ve feedback for each other. Lifes too short for this crap. Thats my 2c
