lots of people hear have power naps. they go into the meeting rooms or to the comfy sofas down stairs.

i cant see why you would get in trouble aslong as its during your lunch break and people know where to contact you if need be.

I think it's disgraceful that people fall asleep at work!!

I went to our head office the other day and couldn't believe the number of our warehouse staff who were having a crafty wink!!

My wife's company has a bloke who has a complete hour for his lunch asleep. He finds an empty office and lies on the floor.....W.T.F......:(

Before I started my own company, I'd often pop out to the car for my hours lunch break and have a half hour nap. As I had to start early every day, was always a little tired and the lunch time nap was my way of having a much more awake and alert afternoon. Also, whth a compulsary hours lunch break and only needing 15 mins to have somethiong to eat, the other 45 mins were boring, so was a good way of getting through it.

I can see that falling asleep behind ur desk / on the sofa in reception / in an empty office could well look bad to visitors or other staff, this was the reason I always went and slept in my car. Was also much more peaceful there!

I sometimes have a power nap in my supe, 30 mins during lunch can work wonders for the afternoon

thats what i was thinking - i wake up around 6:30am and usually get pretty tired around mid day  i dont think the human body was designed to stay awake more then 12 hours per day - look at cavemen , all they had to do was hunt, eat and sleep

After thinking about my first post in this thread, it has dawned on me that I do sometimes sleep in works time. I sometimes work from home and will have a craft nap! OR you may find me asleep in a motorway services car park as I sometime struggle to keep away when driving long distances.......

I still don't agree with it in an office or work environment. Last week our warehouse manager was well out of it when I turned up at lunch time, I walked into this massive warehouse and could have helped myself to £1000's of pounds worth of stuff.......
