Pete
How much would you expect to pay? 2 hours labour maybe? Depends how much has seized up or breaks. Are they also sorting the geo changes required? Maybe they just don't want to do it.

JODY T
prob takes 3 hours.. from getting the keys to it being done... Including the tracking etc... i agree 250+Vat is alot... Perhaps they dont know how to do it, so are costing in 'What ifs' Its easy when you know how to do it... Ive watched garages using spring compressors on a standard strut! theyll charge you labour for that but if you know about Supras youll know they arent needed... Go to someone who know what they are doing

Go to someone who know what they are doing It takes a little bit longer (not much) to change springs than to change the shock/spring combination as it's exactly the same job but with the extra work of having to dismantle each coilover and fit the new spring. Can't see why they'd charge extra to use spring compressors - it only takes 2 mins to put them on! And in some ways makes at least part of the job a little easier. I did a complete swap of springs/shocks on my car last week, also changing the springs. The rears can be done complete in about an hour, but the fronts can be a pain in the butt! I'd say 3 hours for doing all 4 shocks and replacing the springs as well is pretty quick. (and I've done this job 4 or 5 times in the last couple of years)

SupraPL
Where is Galaxy, never heard of them? Near Fire Station in Inverness. Where are you do full 4 wheels alignment Alan? National Tyres and Autocare quoted me £164 (no vat to pay, no receipt) for: - install 4 springs - install 4 new tyres (i bought them from camskills) + balance - geo I think that "Mr manager" likes my g/f (she always services her car there). I'm happy. Tomasz
