Jake
I don't know what's up with the washer jets on my car but the water from the washer 'jets' doesn't jet, it just pours over the bonnet and that plastic trim between the bonnet and the windscreen. There's plenty of water flow but it's not going on the screen or anywhere near. Can I just replace the whole nozzle things? Anyone know the part number? On an old Celica I had years ago the water spray was on the wiper arms and that worked really well. Would it be hard to convert the Supe to something like that? Anyone done that? Class One
No birthday boy, but perhaps the jet aperture is blocked, try a pin down each of them and see if it works. If not it could just be down to age. You know, when you're young it shoots across the room but as it gets older, well you'd better stand over the bucket. And yes before you ask I've mixed prescribed meds with a vast quantity of alcohol purely for purposes best known to me. I should be in my bed, but ....... Jake
I put it to you Constable Douglas that you failed to read the accused's statement thoroughly. It's not blocked. If anything the hole in the washer jet is too big. It's like there's no pressure at the jet and the hole needs to be smaller rather than bigger. There's plenty of water flow/volume, just no pressure. RobSheffield
Would it be possible that you could use some spraybars off a car similar to the Celica? My Peugeot 405 winter hack mobile has suitable spraybars, im tempted to try it
Jake
Anything is possible Rob. I was hoping someone else had done the legwork.
RobSheffield
In that case, iirc someone has already tried using Audi (i think) nozzles that spray a fan. I got new nozzles and they werent expensive, im afraid i dont recall the part number.
Havard
I know this may sound like a silly idea Jake, but is there something small and thin you can jam in it to create a back pressure?? (serious answers only....) The only other possibility is the jets off another car and new pipework etc!! H.
RobSheffield
Actually, Michael posted this if its any use?

Havard
Actually, Michael posted this if its any use? Good find Mr Sheffield!! I may change mine. They spray well but one has gone a bit of a funny colour. Cheap mod too!! H.
Havard
I suppose I could try RobSheffield in one and Simon Fox (GreenPeace) in the other. :rlol: I was thinking more of a pin and a tiny bit of superglue but your idea sounds a lot more entertaining...... Homer
It could still be a blocked jet/line as Doug suggests. The pump is working but is encountering a block in the jet aperture or line, though the pressure is good it will appear to piss out like there's no pressure. Have you tried testing the pressure you get from each jet line? Maybe fix each jet direct to the main line before branches off and seeing if you get good pressure. ulysees
sometimes the washer fluid can turn to a blue snotty gunge that sits in the bottom of the washer bottle and blocks the filter just before the motor causing your problem, pull the motor off the bottle and drain it, wash it out with a hose and blow the lines out.
