He used tdi for hks fcon vpro and someother mods to his car. was not very successful conversion in the end, car never ran right, even after taking it back 3 or 4 times to be rectified.

Sorry to hear he hasnt had much luck with them but as always you will see some customers raving about a tuner when another hasnt got a good word to say.

quite a bit of kit there...

a/f = air fuel

fcd = fuel cut defender

sld = speed limit defender

vpc = ???

Vein Pressure controller. The HKS sequential supra had one fitted.

Considering TDi's labour rates £15k is easily spent & I'm sure it would have spent a lot of time on the dyno being mapped.

Hi

A member of my family has a supercharged lexus and is active member of Lexusownersclub.

He used tdi for hks fcon vpro and someother mods to his car. was not very successful conversion in the end, car never ran right, even after taking it back 3 or 4 times to be rectified.

I dont know if you mate was the 1 sending him emails saying tdi's work was ok, (im sure he had black supercharged is200 if i remember) but it turned out that, the guy with the superchaged is200 sending emails, was a mate of the owner of tdi and gets all his work done at discount rates.

Needless to say, that when i find the right supra, and/if it needs any work doing then, i shall be looking elsewhere.

thats not quite the whole story though.......is it

the car in question if i recall was an automatic,, no fcon pro had ever been fitted to the auto is200 and so there were issues,

(those that dont know the is200, well the the car has 5 ecus, all are multiplexed together so the cables carry multiple signals, making splicing in another non sync, toyota ecu, very difficult indeed)

yes the car kept going back, but as far as i recall aswell the costs were refunded by TDI after an agreement with the owner to return the car to its previous state before the fcon pro was installed

i run the lexus owners club, get my car done at TDI and cant fault them, ............are you saying im TDIs mate and get discount rates.........TDI has customers loyal to them as do many other different tuning companies

all i know is if i had my car worked on somewhere and had nothing but praise of that companies work, and if someone pmed me and asked......id say yeah there ok, discounted prices, mates rates or whatever doesnt matter..... the guy i think you refer to is Dave , who gets a heck of alot of work done by TDI.....but i wouldnt go as far as saying he is Mates with them, just a loyal cutomer

as i pointed out at the start of this post.......there was more to Rsarin issues with his car than it was done at TDI:) , i.e, it was an automatic is200

regards the topic starter if the work was carried out by TDI, give them a call they keep on record all of there big jobs so will be able to tell you exactly whats done and not done

Hi, after a phone call, you must be monster mat from LOC ?

And for the record, my cousin was out of pocket by over £2000, Hotel bill (car would not run on collection) petrol (45miles to tank full) time off work, other Garage charges (to find problems and solve) some labour charges at tdi.

Said it was nothing to do with HKS ecu, It was lexus component failure, but then again, when HKS ecu was removed, everything running as should be.

Do you think you could get the rest of his money back for him ? tdi knows his c/card number.

And for your information Fever was the one sending misleading the emails.

Anyway, still looking for my next car, and will say no more about this subject thank you.
