Clarkey
3 times now - a nasty noise has come from the engine. This is come from not changing gear quick enough .. and so it's going into the redline. Not reaching fuel cut either as no red warning triangle light either. Does anyone know where I can get abit of electronics that is I can configure to warn me (audible beep - would prefer) when I reach a certain RPM ? I don't really have the space for another Gauge as don't want to start ripping out air vents. I've got A Dual Pillar pod .. but that's full already. Supra_Nish
Think theres a "pivot shift light" on ebay at the moment for about 30 quid. Just a red light which lights up when u get near to redline. I'm sure theres other options with audible warnings and rows of lights that light up changing colour as you approach redline. Just google shift light i think
Jake
Isn't the engine revving it's ass off enough of an audible warning?
Clarkey
Hehe! But I think the idea is would like a warning before I get that nasty engine revving it's ass off warning It happened when I was having a play with a Porker off the lights. Not watching my rev-counter ... more concerned about the road etc. Had a look at the shift lights ... they look like microphones!!! A box the size of a Turbo Timer that ties into the ECU that gives off a beep when you reach say 6.5K would be nice. Otherwise - the DEFI VSD Concept would be alternative. albundy68
it'd be a cool mod if you had the lighting up rev bars on the steering wheel, like in the new rarri's!!! (i will steer this thread back on track!!!)
Clarkey
A small box the size of match box .. that you mount on the steering column that lights LEDs up and beeps. I've been google searching ... but no joy. Traders: ?? I've noticed that blitz power meter & r-vit can do this. But I don't need the the bells & whistles. dangerous brain
Couldn't any lectrically person like Emin make a bleepy thing that worked off a set voltage on the rev counter line?

I sell these, they don't beep, but they look classy and work well, no wiring involved, I sell loads, don't think I have mentioned them on here before though Look HERE
