Nah, just women constantly throwing their knickers at the windscreen...

Now that sounds good to me :p

Yep. You're all a bunch of chavs. No self-respecting driver would be seen owning a Supra.

I mean the Supra was the proverbial dog's danglies right up until, say, last week. Now it's a chav-mobile. Wouldn't catch me in one! ;)

Plenty of people don't like Supras. Plenty of people don't like Ferraris either. Seen it many times ona "what car for £X amount, the Supra is almost always dismissed before the bottom of page 1.

Nope never have (or not been aware of).

However......

Last Friday I was coming back from a m8's around 22:30 ish and needed a bite to eat. They'd made me dinner but obviously for an average sized person, not me, so needed a small additional boost :)

I drop by Burger King in Guildford in the Ladymead retail park place. Parked up, went inside, got my burgers and.....

I figured, there's a whole bunch of car lovers there (OK not my sort of people but none the less I'll be nice), I went over and introduced myself to about 20 odd people. Very friendly, not arrogant or anything.

Well it was bizarre! I instantly became a social misfit..... not a single person would even say "Hi". OK admittedly the nicest car there was a good looking Celica and the rest were Pug 306, Clio, Saxo, Nova etc. but Jesus, what's wrong with these people?

So they fucked me off and with my newly BPU'd exhaust, I fucked off rather loudly!

Last time I'll try build any bridges there I can tell you!

How can a Supra be a chavs car? Unlike your everday run around ect Nova, Cavalier, Escort, Focus to name just a few. The Supra is something special. Ive always loved the look of it since i was a kid. I dont think the prices are that cheap so as the chavs can afford them just yet. Its a plessure to own one, well two.

I guess as a generalisation the supra is not a chavs car at all

but a chav can own anything, so there will always be exceptions.

After all, I don't think maybe of us on here could be described as chavs, if any and this must be the biggest supra forum in the uk?

(or are we all chavs really and just in denial or good at hiding it? lol - joking!)

Make sure they're behined you and do a burn out;)

...now thats one of the things that makes people think its a chavs car - burnouts, drifting, shopping lists and over the top minging body kits (thankfully, there are very few of them).

I wouldnt of put drifting in that list, Drifting is a Jap thing just like the car itself. And your shopping list thing as you call it can look great if its done properly with the right kit and paint job. Its no different to race cars with sponsers names all over it. After all its a high performance car so whats wrong with properly done graphics.

Properly done full body graphics yes (like lockys96 is doing), but just a shopping list down a door (In my opinion) really does look poo.

Well thats a matter of opinion i guess. My TT came with the shopping list on the door when i imported it direct from Japan, Its every performance make that is on the car and i think its looks ok. Do the Japs even have chavs? On some cars it doesnt suit but on the supra it is actual performance parts fitted to the car not a wish list that you see on chavs motors in the car parks, so doesnt that make a difference? Whats the difference with perhaps putting TRD on your rear?

And that would be my point, To your average person in the street who see's a shopping list down the side of a Supra, they will automatically associate it with all the chavvy little saxo's and corsa's that have them on, making the Supra a chav car. (in their eyes at least)

EDIT: Forgot to mention, I don't think the Supra is a chav car.
