Leak!

I came out of work this morning after nights to be told my car had a leak.

After having a look and doing a search on here I think its the radiator overflow pipe. But I dont really have much of a clue about these things so could be anything.

It did not smell like oil, but was a brown ish colour when I had my fingers and a cloth in it.

There are no run marks on the bottom of the under tray or anything that I can see on the inside of the under tray. Just the Little white pipe that comes out over where the patch was. ( see pics )

Could anyone let me no if its anything to worry about and if there is anything I should get checked out or I can do to sort it. Its only done it that once but will be keeping my eye open now.

Cheers, Al.

when cold take off the rad cap............look for a perished rubber disc part, slack spring, possible rust?........does it just look old.

is there coolant to the brim in the rad?

follow the small pipe from by the rad cap neck to the coolant expansion tank which is in front of the rad...........is this full, or whats the level........there will be a pop on plastic cap on here with a overflow pipe that directs excess coolant down......does it look like this has happened recently.........
