Stoich and WOT Readings on Wideband

All,

My AEM Wideband has been fitted.. and i did a few spirted WOT runs on the way home at various boost settings.. .i seem to be getting 10.8 to 11.0 at 1.6 bar in 4th gear all the way so im pleased that i seem to have plenty of fuel for that boost pressure, maybe even more....

But looking at my afr's at cruise strikes a little concern... it seems to be 12.3 to 12.7 at very light load.and a touch of the throttle i.e 15 to 20 per cent sends the afrs to low 12's/ high 11's at 2 to 3000 rpm

I guess the hks f-con pro gold needs tweeking..

Does anyone know any trust worthy mappers??? who supports these in the uk

Sounds alright to me. A little rich on light throttle maybe but nothing to worry about. What turbo do you have on the car?

You'll have to take it a HKS approved mapper to get that ECU adjusted.

Just to echo what Jake said, the on boost seems about right, try it in 6th in cold weather, it should not be more than 11.7 at WOT. The ones you get now just looks like it's set to allow a little more safety margin at very high load and cold weather.

The partial throttle is a little on the rich side though, off boost it should be 14.7, though most will map for slightly richer.

Jake - he has a HKS T51R

Thanks Daryl.. I darent try it on any higher than 1.6 bar, it nearly ripped my head off :D Going to a dyno to get it checked over soon.. and get the partial/light load afr's adjusted to give me some better economy.. on cruise i get 20 to 21 mpg at best...

Erm, you do know thats pretty good right? I used to get about 20 on cruise on my BPU car. 16mpg on average (though I do drive them quite hard)

I guess im just getting used to supra owndership;)

so i guess 280 to 300 per tank is about right on a run ?

I used to get about that on BPU on a good week. On track days I got around 6 mpg.

A lot depends on how you drive. If you're on boost a lot of the time you'll be luck to get 12mpg, if you drive like Miss Daisy, then maybe 22-25mpg.

Why did you buy a T51R is you're worried about fuel consumption? :D Just fill her up and drive it like it was meant to be driven ;)

Very true im not.. just want to make sure my map is efficent... and not flooding my engine with fuel it dosent need... Def not into Borewash City... I knew i guy once who thought adding as much fuel as possible to his engine thought it would make it faster... 4000 miles later rebuild time
