XDA question

Recommended Posts

I have an XDA2 phone that doubles up as Tom Tom etc. It has pocket PC installed and currently has a load of my contacts on there after linking it with my PC at home.

I want to give this away to a friend of mine but want to be able to clear the contacts before he gets it. Is there a quick way of doing this?

Hang on....! You're GIVING IT AWAY to a friend?

Give it to me, I'll be your friend. :D I broke the bastard screen on mine :(

This is an old and battered one Jake. So old, I cannot find where the reset button is

You can delete a screen full of contacts at a time by dragging the stylus over all the visible contacts to select a bunch of them then single tap and select Delete Contact.

Only takes a fews secs.

You can't have more than 3 or 4 screens of contacts surely?

TomTom will be on your memory card won't it?

That shouldn't be affected, reset, pop the card back in and it should reinstall on the device.

NOOOO!!!! Don't do that Col. It installs files to MyDevice\Prorram Files\Navigator as well as the SD card.

I thought that would be possible too but it doesnt seem to highlight more than one contact at a time. :(

I am bloody useless with techy stuff :(

The v5 install I'm using works differently then it seems, I reset mine last week and sold it on, left TomTom on the SD card, popped it in again and watched it reinstall to the device while retaining the old info on the card.

YMMV I guess.
