Arcade scores and cheating..... again

I'm pretty sure it's impossible to get 255,000 in 7 minutes, I had to waste another hour of my Saturday morning on that one!!
I would agree that both Jevanso and ARK's scores are suspiciously high for the short time played.

Mind you Trev, I see the person in 11th reckons YOU are cheating.

Honestly, you and ARK should be ashamed.

And someone still thinks *you* cheated ;)

Aah but I DID do the math:

24K in 13 mins means that 393k should take 212 mins, so I scored 4 times as many points per unit time than he did.

BUT, using the ratio of getting 255k in 7 mins means I should have been able (even assuming he was scoring twice as much as me) to do it in 21 minutes!!! That's a BIG difference!!!

I was in fact running with 5 or 6 balls at a time, and aiming to get at least half the balls in the middle of the screen when it changed which means an extremely fast block removal rate - I don't think many people could get a score quicker than I did.

I resent that. That was good honest skill and time when I was supposed to be working.

Is the kick up's score genuine or a cheat?

It is 100% genuine. I wouldn't ever cheat even if I knew how. It didn't take 2 mins it took about 45. It's not really rocket science you just click the ball. I'm just the only one sad enough to do it 1800 times!

Ah...it was the 2 minutes thing that threw me. ;)

How can you check the scores are genuine though? As far as I'm aware I'm the only person who is known to have definitely hacked the scores and all my scores have since been deleted.

What other scores do people think are dubious?

all of the high scores in spank the monkey are fake.

I'll probably get banned for saying this but my girlfriends the snake champ. I tried for ages and couldn't beat your second score then the missus comes in and does in about her third attempt. :(

Rah! There you go - nearly matched my highest Snake score ever (6100ish). 3/4 of the screen full of snake! :D

I can't remember what level it got up to, but before I died, the super pills actually did nothing at all and the bonus items in the middle were keys worth 5,000 points each :) It was pretty intense!

While we're here asking, how is the Bat and Mouse score possible? I could imagine 1 million being possible if you did really well, but above that something special must happen...

Bat and mouse better answer that then... after playing relentlessly all evening i noticed that on 1 level if you die at exactly the right time. It freezes the next thing that chases you on the next level.

Having realised it did this once i then spent the next day trying to get it to replicate it with my timing, took feckin ages. But you can break the 1 million mark if you're patient enough.

I put it down to years of playing the zx spectrum seeing these anomilies happen. Great game though love the music.

real bowling i have done a best of

245 with a 12lb house ball and did 6 strikes in a row and overall 10 strikes in 1 game.

nintendo wii my best score is 212 only in 1 sessions playing.

great little console.but feel worse than playing real bowling lol.

its a bit crap if people cheating just to get on a high score.

you only cheating yourself.supposed to be fun.

the kick up kame is good and also the one where you slap really fast.
