Guest TP_
Hello. Tomorow im going to build up an so called restrictor ring to my Jap spec Supra. I couldnt find any info of the size of the hole on swedish Supra forums, so i hope someone here knows. Iv´e heard of that the hole in it should be 2 inches, but a few other rumors say it should be 2 and a half inch (2.5"), so the boost wont get over 1.2bar (0.8 is the stock boost, aint it?). I hope to get a few good answers! Regards, Mattias from Sweden.
r1george
Hi, 50mm will give you about 0.9-1.0bar and 52mm is about 1.1bar. Hope this helps;)

Regards, Mattias from Sweden. i have a 3.5" straight through custom built exhaust with a 50.5mm RR fitted where the sec cat normally goes in, this gives me just under 1.2 bar. i would say 54mm will possibly send u over slightly so be carefull other wise u will making another one! its always better to start smaller than bigger at least u can sort it out that way mate
Cable
Just fitted both decats today with a 50mm restrictor ring and hitting 1bar though it's been a little warmer today so I'll go out tonight when it's cooler and see if there is a slight increase. Even so I want to be running 1.2 so I'll be going for a 52-53mm and see how it goes.

Matti85
What material is the ring made off, Copper or Plate. Dont know if Copper can handle the temprature that the exhaust comes up to, so figure it have to be plate. In case i try to make one myself
