Delfin
Heyhey, I'd need some help from you all. I'm collecting my Supra from Paul Whiffin on tuesday next week, and I called my regular insurance company to help me. Apparently, they won't insure my car until I've got the swedish plates on it. They lady on the phone advised me to get an insurance in the country where I'm collecting it. That seems like unnecessary hassle, as I only need that insurance for like, 1-2 weeks until I get my new plates on, but i guess that's how it works. So, anyone got an idea on which company to use, what's the procedure, etc etc? I'll try to call some more companies here in sweden and see what they offer, thou it'd be good to have some kind of backup. Thanks!

slow_matt
Yup, you can't generally insure a car whilst it is in another country when the policy starts. It wasn't your broker being funny. This will possibly be changing later this year possibly. Though if your not a uk resident you will really struggle to insure a specialist car. I'll drive it for you on my driving other cars third party extension if you pay my petrol
