Went to Thorpepark yest and it was a GREAT day out. Have not been to one of these for years and it was my missis b/day so we decided to go. The Stealth ride was the best, 0 to 80 in about two seconds from stand still !!!!!! sh*t my pants...lol. also went on loggers leap again, was like lying in a bath with my clothes on when i got out....I did not mind though as it was roasting.

Was good time to go aswell as all the kids were off school. The only thing i was not happy about was prices...£30 each  lucky we had buy 1 get one free ticket..bottled coke was about £1.60, bar of choc was 0.70p sandwich was £3.70 !!!! rip off but these is a bk and kfc so noy all is lost. :D

Yeah - they've done real wonders with Thorpe Park over the last 5 years. If you can get there (like you did) on a weekday during school term time the queues are pretty short too.

I remember first time on Stealth - we just got to the top of the waiting platform, and there was a fence (or something) that blocks your view down the track, so you can't see the coaster after it's gone. So I was looking down at the train in front of me ready to launch and just remember it being there, being there, being there. Then just vanishing. I didn't see it actually pull away - it literally disappeared!

The Slammer is downright scary - I love my theme parks, but that's one of the first rides I've looked at and thought, "do I REALLY want to go on that?".

Colossus is still my fave there tho - 10 inversions in one rollercoaster! Colossus Review

I like Thorpe Park. Haven't been since I was about 10 though so it's probably a lot better now.

Definitely worth another visit if you like that sort of thing, Charlotte. Thorpe Park has had loads invested in it and changed massively in the last 5 or 6 years. I'd say it's now as good as Alton Towers if you like thrill rides.

I went on sunday.. £18 (16£ if there is ten or more) if you book on 'tinternet before end of the month....

but my lunch did cost me £10.. and i did get stuck in the gravel bit of the car park..

but a great day..

stealth was great.. queued for ages with my mates the first time (prob about 1 hour), then queued on the "single rider" bit and manages twice in about 15min!
