Jake
my Mrs said that I'd left the garage door open. Errr no, I haven't been in the garage. Some bastard has been in there and nicked my tools! Almost new 60 piece socket set gone. twas only a Halfords one but still. Strangely a lot of my SnapOn stuff is still there, probably because it's not brand new looking. Moron thieves don't even know quality tools when they see them.

Class One
Sorry to hear that mate. Was it locked? Do you have insurance? Is it worth claiming? Any lesson learnt? But as you say, could have been worse.

Pete
If they know there's more goodies to be had they may well return. I find a block of wood placed in the right area prevents the door from opening from the outside very effectively.

Jake
Sorry to hear that mate. Was it locked? Do you have insurance? Is it worth claiming? Any lesson learnt? But as you say, could have been worse. It wasn't locked, never is. Silly really. I have insurance but it's not worth claiming. It's no big deal. Just a bit annoying. If they know there's more goodies to be had they may well return. Thank god they didn't take my FireBlade - it's not insured!

Pete
Thank god they didn't take my FireBlade - it's not insured! Would've been slightly more suspicious walking down the street with a bike tucked under their arms. I'm sure they're just chancers.
Homer
I've been robbed several times, makes you bloody angry. Luckily for you they were only in the garage, I had junkie scum bleeding all over my house (idiots cut themselves getting in). One thing the police and insurance companies always say is once you've been done once you're much, much more likely to be robbed again in the next 3-6 months. Make sure it's very well secured in future as they might come back for the bike

Kranz
At leasts its only the Halfrauds stuff Jake, but its still not cheap! I find 35kg of German Shephard is a good deterrant to thieves & scumbags. A decent lock on the garage from now on eh? As they have now seen the goodies in there.

Jezz
Harsh. Know how you feel. I'm still building up a collection of tools from when all mine were pinched from the yard that night.
Jake
WHY have you got halfrauds stuff when you own snap-on stuff??I've had the SnapOn gear for like 18 years. It's getting tatty and I've lost or broke a few bits over the years. The Halfords own brand stuff is good quality, not SnapOn quality but still good. I'm over the tool-snobbery thing now but when I was young I thought it was cool to have the best tools but now I just want whatever gets the job done without breaking. TBH a lot of it was peer pressure, when I was spannering for a living the other mechanics would have taken the piss if I was using Halfords tools.
