Guest rio688
Hi Guys I have just been looking into purchasing my first supra, and am some what lost in the maze of models and specs I am looking to hopefully get a UK spec 3.0l Non-turbo but am unsure what this would be listed under in terms of online insurance quotes as i only seem to be able to find the non-import non turbo models to be listed as the mk3's Also just for curiosities sake tried for a quote on a UK spec 1994 TT and was given a quote of £860 which surprised me as im only 20 with 2years NCD especially considering i currently pay over £900 with the same company for Mk4 Astra 1.8 Sport Any advice into what i should be looking for in terms of models etc would be much appreciated
Al Massey
all uks are twin turbos mate, and there are lots of various models out there to choose, best try an experienced insurer like a plan or sky for a true quote
Guigsy
from experiance the online companies that you will out a form and they ten tell you how much are useless. Elephant for example are apparently useless on claims. and there online system is confusing and it doesnt have the correct models.

dannysupratt
seems about right to me, the uk spec is alot cheaper and they will insure you under 21 on it for some reason lol. Im 21 with a 1996 tt manual j spec and pay about £900 fully comp 2 ncb with bell direct.
dannysupratt
o yeah dont go with elephant, with the experience i had with them with my last car they are a bunch of thick wa**ers. Bell are just as cheap and a million times better and more help full.

Sparky
Ive tried admiral and pretty much every other company out there but i couldnt get less than 800 tpft for my N/a and im 21 3 yrs nc, no convictions, no accidents, parked on drive in a very low risk area. I think they got the quote wrong!!!!!
Guest ckuky2k
am 24 wit a 3.0L SZ non turbo costing me £1200 fully comp here. Rio what company insurer did u quote from? That £1200 not protecting my no claim. to protect it would cost me £4800 with the theaa.com
Bobbeh
i'm also 21, 3yrs driving experience and 3yrs no claims, £850 fully comp with elephant on my uk spec Are you serious? I remember when I first got my Supra.. I think I was 24 with 3/4 years NCD and they were charging me £1100 on a stock car! I presume you're economical with the truth when it comes to your mods? Either that or times have changed!
Sparky
Umm I dont declare Mods. I know its a silly move so no comments plz! I will be insuring the mods soon but i wanted to drive it asap when i picked it up and didnt wanna pay the massive £400 extra.
turbonut
by the way fellah, if your after an Non turbo (as per your first thread) they are all Jspec - they were only made for JDM. The Turbos can be had as either Jspec or Uk spec. by the way, and happy hunting! Linda
Marty
I was paying £390 at 24 for my uk spec supra Little bit more expensive now with it being a single
Bobbeh
Who with? Fully comp?
Marty
through admiral on a standard car. yup, thats fully comp with protected no claims too, i live in a good area so that may help some Plus, if you put a parent, or 'old person' on there too, as a named driver, it takes it down a few ton.
