Hey guys,

after a few gutted weeks of having my car at the garage to be sorted out, it was finally fixed today:)

after the road test was done, it was put on the rolling road and to my amazement went to over 400bhp, the machine used only went upto 400bhp so it looks like im going to have to take it some where else now to get the proper dyno figures.

i honestly thought it would be running at the most 360-70 but over 400 is awesome, is this about normal then?

all i have done is gone double de-cat with a RR running at about 1.2 bar, induction kit and upgraded fuel pump?

i would love some feedback on this,

cheers,

m.

To be honest that figure is probably nowhere near accurate.... by local RR said I had 430 at the flywheel.

The rear wheel horsepower figure is what really counts, mine was about 300 at 1 bar, I think most automatics hit about 320 at 1.2.

Do you also have FCD?

To be honest its possibly slightly over reading, which dyno was it?

im going to pick the car up later i will get the details of the machine, the make was sun but thats all i know.....lol

i was there when he did the test it scared the fooooke out of me......untill the rear tyres had warmed up it wouldn't stay on the machine, they ended up with straps holding it down to the floor front & rear:blink:

i do have a FCD and uk spec fuel pump, ive also got nos but didnt even bother trying to use it after what i saw happen to start with!

well because the machine kept maxing out i never even got a reading for what it was at the wheels...but what u have just said is cool so if my car is over 400bhp it should be over 300bhp at the wheels, thx mate;)

to clear something up for me as I have had conflicting advice what bhp should a standard Jspec TT be pushing out?

i think most tt supras are about 300-320bhp the uk spec ones are always 320+......ive read about this and theres loads of diff thoughts on the matter, most jap imports are ment to be 280bhp but im told this is not true.

Havent some members on here with stock JDMs seen 320 on dyno's to disprove the 280 myth? ...or did I just dream that?

I don't think I did dream that, as if I had there would have been ninja's, sexy women and explosions also ;)

The 280HP is as mentioned on here a gentlemans agreement by the Japanese manafacturer.

Most cars exceed this with relative ease and the Supe is no exception.

What i've always found interesting is how to identical specs can vary as far as HP output even with the same enviromental conditions, rolling road etc.

Pete :)

Class One is a member of that club, done at SRR. :)

Sure am, 262bhp at the wheels when it was stock on an auto.

J-Tuner mag issue 3 where I'm quoted as saying something along the lines of "I'll keep it stock as that gives me about 320-330 bhp at the fly which is plenty enough for me."

:D :D :D
