So, a pair of full glass headlights without bulbs is £220 + vat? If that is the case, where did the £190 for one come from? Surely the bulbs are not that much? A cynic might suggest that you were charging an extortionate price and got caught out. Obviously, i could not possibly say that
Guest Andrew Gore EBC
Not at all. Go to any toyota centre and ask for a complete headlamp and you will find they are £191.46 + vat per headlamp for the later model supra. As i said i didn't look them up and have apoligised for the error on MY behalf. What would be the point in telling you they were TRADE parts and i was trying to help out if i was trying to rip you off. You will find that im a really genuine guy and that i like the toyota product so am trying to promote it. DAMIAN C please can you email/pm, me the chassis no so i can make sure all is perfect. Thanks:)

Basically, if your prices are good then you'll be fine
Class One
I think the best way for you to particpate on here is for you to leave your contact details with us, and then we'll leave it to club members to contact you direct for quotes and decide for themselves to see if you are competitive and wish to do business with you. If you want to become active on the forum and advertise your prices, then you'll have to apply for a traders membership, but you'll only be able to do that after 6 months as a normal member with no trading at all. We already have two Toyota main dealers that have set up deals for club members, one based in the south and one based up north. They don't compete with each other on here, nor do they advertise the "deal of the month" or such like.Nor do they compete with the specialist traders who have established themselves on the forum. They just leave it open for club members to approach them for parts direct if they wish to do so. One thing though, is that both of them know their way around the mkivsupra. They know their models, pre-facelift/facelift /pre/post vvti and the like and it shows when you speak with them. Counts for alot, especially, as this is more than just an owners club. And yes, you should have approached one of the mods first.
TrickTT
My local dealer also does a good discount on OEM parts [thread=59217]LINKY HERE[/thread], but its good to see another main dealer offering a discount to owners. I think it depends much more on the dealer/parts manager than Toyota GB themselves how we are treated at main dealers. The reason that some dealers dont like imports is they have to pay for the parts ordered from Toyota GB. If it then turns out to be the wrong bit, they are stuck with it on their shelves. Its probably better to get the part number off the EPC or ask on here than just turning up and expecting the dealer to find the part number himself. Hopefully i will get along to a few of the meets that are local and you will all be able to put a face to the name(when is the next one in herts/London area?). How do i pay the membership straight away so i can carry on with the posts? I think temp membership restricts you too 30 posts ???? Might be wrong. If you just wanted a car to drive then you wouldnt be reading this thread. In no way am i looking for a cheap way of advertising, inchcape @ oxford are 50-60 miles from me and maybe more from some club members. Its not a competition, its to help out the owners in my eyes. Sorry for not approaching the moderator first. As i say we will supply any parts to any of the club at good prices. Im going to say we need a chassis number just to make 100% sure we are getting it perfect works better for both parties involved. You can get prices by emailing me [email protected] or call me on 07837-266659. I will try my best to get back to you same day(EMAIL) and keep you informed on any problems with orders placed if they go b/o etc. In the event you need something delivering give me a shout and i will try my best to assist. juanchan
Welcome along mate. Im going to say we need a chassis number just to make 100% sure we are getting it perfect works better for both parties involved I mean no offense, but when I ordered some UK-spec front disks and pads from Inchcape, there was no chassis number involved. I'm not sure how the Toyota computer system works when you order parts, but I'm assuming that if one dealer can do it without chassis numbers, then others can too. That said, my local dealer wouldn't look anything up on the system for me until he'd taken my chassis number. I always thought the chassis number thing was to make sure you weren't ordering for a J-Spec car as most dealers don't like dealing with them? Always good to have more Toyota dealers willing to help the club though
mawby
Contact details removed for now. Please see this thread for all the details of how to become a trader here. The club is not really interested in having traders here purely to sell stuff anymore so you'd have to be able to offer the members something more than just cheap prices as we have a couple of sources for cheap genuine parts anyway. That doesn't mean you're not welcome here - the above thread will explain it all in more detail. As JB as stated, we are interested in becoming recognised by Toyota as a valuable club instead of just being dismissed as one of those 'import supporters', although I expect this maybe something you cannot help us with. Last set i spoke to someone about they were £16.33 retail and i said i would do them for £14.80, also told them it may be more cost effective after posting them to go to there local dealer. Nic
I can see existing traders who provide us with cheap Toyota parts (cheaper than Toyota do) being a bit miffed about the potential competition that isn't paying to be here. Just paid my trader fee (£500 ) today too

Who cares. We're club for Supra owners not a captive audience for the paying traders.
