Skydivers - anyone else here....

just wondering if there are any other skydivers on the boards..

I'm not a skydiver - I have only been once... however it was probably the best thing I have ever done.

The thing that totally blew me away was the fact that you don't feel like you are falling... you feel like you are floating in a pool (because the wind is pushing up on you so strongly).

You know when you go on a roller coaster and get that feeling in your stomach? (The same feeling when you have those falling dreams) - you don't get that feeling!

Also your brain doesn't seem to function very well as everything looks so small and it feels like you are watching it all on a big tv screen.

@inferno, yup you totally get a distorted view of the speed, personally i like to jump when there are clouds in the sky as you get a better reference for the speed and direction you going, however i dont advice doing this in sept/nov time as your face gets stung by little bits of ice.

only 32 jumps, only 1 jumping with another person. (all from 2.2miles)

jumping with another person though i must say is a lot better,. you just hold on to a leg or arm (or both lol) and just fall out the door and watch the plane get smaller and the ground get bigger.
