Buying goods from a US firm that won't ship to the UK?

I need to buy about 100 plastic spreader poles for electric fencing horizontal wires. They are very light, about 48 inches long and about 3/4 inch square. No one makes them in the UK, as far as I can ascertain. The makers won't ship to the UK. If i pay them by credit card is there a reliable and straightforward way to send to to someone who will forwrd them on to me here in the UK? Will a freight forwarders do a single package, or are they bulk only? Don't want to spend a fortune, either :) Thanks.

Chris, try parcel2go.com, they have a facility to set up an us 'mailbox' where they then take over the order and forward it to a uk address. could be pricey though..

I may be tempted to take you up on that, if there is no other means of doing it, but I'll try not to get him involved :) Thanks though, let's see if there are other options first.

Not a big issue to do it seriously, he is based in North Carolina if you need to calculate shipping or taxes. He usually comes over to the UK fairly often so I'll see when he is due out next.
