Tuning Advice and parts needed

I think i pretty much need someone to tell me what i need!!

Following on from my thread:

http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=106270&page=7

Turns out the problem was running to much boost and then the engine detonating.

Can i sort this problem out with increasing the fueling going into the engine?

would some 550 cc injectors, a greddy 3 row intercooler, an emange blue ECU and remap make sure my car is safe (and faster :innocent: ) in the future when i get it back from Turbofit?

Turbofit say they should have my car fixed by the end of next week. So in the meantime i need to sort out pretty quick what im gona do to make sure i dont have the same problem again in the future. I want a little more power with some injectors and a front mount anyway but will it make things safe?

Have you asked Turbofit for their advice they are very helpful and would be best placed to give you several options at several costs ;)

Yeah Gregg is very helpful, but i just want a few more opinions and bits of advice from other experts, see what they recommend

Well i have a cheap intercooler (HKS Type R) Gregg has just removed from my car if that becomes part of your plans, Gregg can fill you in on the condition ;)

Thanks for the offer mate but i want a brand new one as its part of the cars looks. ;)

550's, an EMB, and an FMIC will sort that out nicely, especially as you can pull some ignition timing high up the rev range if you are going to do loony tunes runs up to 160+mph :) Are you stock turbo'd or hybrids?

If they are decent hybrids, then running them on 440's was probably a bad idea ;)

What boost did you run?

-Ian

well i was getting like 1.2 / 1.3 bar at lower speeds, but when i hit the bigger leptons i was seeing 1.4 maybe 1.5 bar!! which was when it went pop :(

Ow well live and learn as they say!

If you are going to change the injectors, is it not worthwhile stepping up to something like 600-700's? rather than 550s. The 600-700's are controlable with EMB and the like, and will give more future headroom.

I was under the impression tho that anything bigger than 550's and a new rail was needed?
