DamanC
In the last month or two my walbro uk fuel pump im sure has started to make itself known a little more. It seems to have developed a whine which i have picked up on when getting home and waiting a couple of minuites for the car to cool down. Its always been noticable as walbros are a little more noisey than stock. My AFR's seem fine and im not getting any missing or anything different to the norm, so my question is........is this normal? I suspect the answer will be what i think your going to say My description was proably crap so i took a little video for your attention (turn your speekers up) PS Sorry its on a mobile as the bbc were not available at such short notice HPFkT7I4ZbA
Homer
That doesn't sound normal. Mine whines a fair amount on a really hot day (25deg+) and been booting it or sat in traffic, but is pretty quiet this time of year.
Jake
No, that doesn't sound right. I think I'd change it to be on the safe side.

Jake
Yes, he means the filter attached to the pump (if that's why you're bumping this thread?)
DamanC
Thanks Jake, that was what i was after
Jake
Of course there's an easy way to check Charlie's idea, Daman, just take the sock filter off. For testing purposes I mean. You have the stock in-line fuel filter anyway and you'll be able to see if there's much shit in the tank when you take the pump out.

That would do it, also when I changed mine, I took the opertunity to clean the tank (lots of debri in the swirl pot) Sorry Damon, thought you were bumping for other opinions)

Its a very dark smelly place in there I sourced my Walbro ones from Powerstation (oem are different fitment) To clean the tank, I syphoned it with a pump and then just mopped it with blue roll.
