Trig
Hasnt been posted yet so thought i would!! Wasnt gonna let the Man U fans get away with nothing being posted! Not the best game in the world but we came out on top So happy we stopped them winning the double, and turned a potentially crap season to an ok one. Come on the Chelsea! Keep that Premiership trophy nice and polished for us, well be getting that back next season too

Jake
As a neutral I thought it was a crap game. It was a shame Chelsea scored so near the end, I was hoping for the drama of penalties. WTF has Ronaldo do to his eyebrows? He looks like a Bangkok ladyboy!
Havard
He looks like a Bangkok ladyboy! I thought that!! Although I would pog his bird in a heartbeat!! H.
Havard
Oh and congrats to Chelsea. Spent more money than the British government and walk away with the FA Cup!! H.
CJ
As Jake has said, I thought it was a crap game too but preferred Chelsea winning to Man U. As for spending lots of money, it wasn't that long ago that Man U had the enviable position of being the only Premiership side to be able to do that. I seem to recall when they had many of the players holding the honour of being the most expensive in their position in world football. Funnily enough, not many Man U fans moaned about that then
MARTIN R
thought the match was bloody awful, more action watching ceefax. Result pleased me though:)
juanchan
I'll third the "crap game". Livened up a bit in the second half, but I'd mostly lost interest by then As Jake has said, I thought it was a crap game too but preferred Chelsea winning to Man U. Funnily enough, not many Man U fans moaned about that then The thing I don't like about Chelsea is the way they obtained their money. Abramovich just throwing away stupid quantities of cash, it just doesn't make winning the Premiership such a big achievement. Correct me if I'm wrong (I usually am btw...), but didn't Man U's money come from being successful? If a club earns a lot through continued success in the league and in Europe, then fair plays to them

If a club earns a lot through continued success in the league and in Europe, then fair plays to them Their money (as with almost every other team) comes from commercial ventures away from the football field itself. Now, whilst the commercial viability of any football side increases when they are successful, the Man U brand is and always was a giant even when they were languishing in the old 2nd division. TBH, I really cannot see why anyone would think that the fact that Abramovich spent shed loads of money actually makes their success on the filed any less worthy. As I said previously, Man U used to be the kings of spend and that seemed to be OK then - what difference does it make if one man supplied the cash or if millions (commercial interests) did? As I said previously, Man U used to be the kings of spend and that seemed to be OK then - what difference does it make if one man supplied the cash or if millions (commercial interests) did? Reading that reminded me of a book an ex bought me...."Bluff your way in Football", which had the following to say about Man U: "Manchester United is an international leisure, clothing and merchandising conglomerate, worth hundreds of millions of pounds, and with interests in every major country in the world. As a sideline, it also runs a football team. All you need to know about football is that there are only three clubs whose name contains a swear word - Arsenal, Scunthorpe and F***ing Man United.....At every home game, the team's stadium is filled to capacity.....some of them are even from Manchester". ManU may have acquired their money from their fanbase of millions, but each of those people want ManU to be successful. Abramovich isn't a Chelsea supporter. He naturally is now, but he wanted to spend all his money at Tottenham, who turned him down. To me, that makes his money somewhat empty - all he wants is the Champions League but he doesn't mind who provides him with it. I agree that on the grand scale it doesn't matter where the money comes from though.
Rich
Oh and congrats to Chelsea. Spent more money than the British government and walk away with the FA Cup!! H. ha ha,its not like Man U havent spent "X" million on players over the years.People seem to forget- Veron -28 million Rooney -20 odd million Ronaldo - around 15 + million Rio? Andy cole? Saha? + many more I have forgotten. and there is a lot more, strikes me the Man utd fans/followers dont like a bit of healthy competition. In my opinion Man U were the worthy champions this year but were made to look like a bunch of school boys against AC milan. You have to have the right manager/players to win things too ,you can spend the money and not perform. Chelsea have spent a lot of money and have probably not achieved what they set out to achieve this season(champions league/premiership) but have still walked away with the carling cup FA cup and charity shield. Looking forward to next season hopefully Arsenal and liverpool will come strong then we can have a 4 horse race right to the end.
Havard
Veron -28 million Rooney -20 odd million (£27M) Ronaldo - around 15 + million (£12M) Rio? (£30M) Andy cole? (£7M) Saha? (£12M) Michael Carrick (£18M) I don't dispute that Man Utd have spent a lot of money, but Chelsea have made this sudden jump in the financial stakes. A lot of Man Utd's money and success came from the team they put out around 98 - 99 as a bunch of kids that took football by storm! As someone who doesn't particularly like either team (as they are both more successful than mine ) I feel that Man Utd did it the hard way initially and then became the financial power they are now! Just an opinion!! H.
