tooquicktostop Posted May 20, 2007 Share Posted May 20, 2007 I got back late last night and this morning noticed a damp patch under the car, on inspection the plastic blanking cap?? on the water pump has a split and when hot sprinkles water everywhere! tooquicktostop Posted May 20, 2007 Author Share Posted May 20, 2007 OK i have taken a couple of pics to show where the leak is, I have wrapped some tape around the split cap in an effort to stem the flow! is this plastic cap a Toyota part? Graham S Posted May 20, 2007 Share Posted May 20, 2007 I think a quick fix for the moment mate would be to go to a motor factors and get some hose that'll fit on the pump and get a bolt the same size and shove it in the end with a jubilee clip to hold it tight till you can get the proper part? terribleturner Posted May 20, 2007 Share Posted May 20, 2007 Yeah it's just your water feed for the stock turbo's. When you went single it just would have been blocked off.
