Kranz
You can drill and tap in situ with a vacuum cleaner and a big dollop of grease, but its safer to do it with the turbo off I just love theat feeling of anticipation when a big project is nearly completed..... just can't wait to try it out. I have to write myself a checklist with the important things like check I've filled it with oil & the cam & flywheel locking pins are out Have fun tomorrow & let us know how the first run goes. b_have
Don't forget to vent that hotside breather away from the ex manifold.
terribleturner
Hot side breather?? Are you talking about the breather off the cam cover? Does it need to face forward??
b_have
Hot side breather?? Are you talking about the breather off the cam cover? Does it need to face forward?? Yes, but needs routing to a catch can or the induction pre turbo.
terribleturner
Well it's going to a catch can like before, but thought i'd face it the other way as i've seen alot faced that way now and it'll look better. Out of intrest why does it need to go that way??
b_have
Direction isn't important, most people go forward as its away from the heat but if your using quality braided pipe work and fittings, not a problem.
