Chris and Alana
Hi guys, now and again I get a low fluctuating idle so I decided to have a go and see what condition the lambda sensor is in using Ians guide http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=35940&highlight=lambda+sensor now it says when you get a solid figure this is what you go off but Iv been sitting there for about half an hour and all the readings fluctuate up and down, it goes like this 0.08v - 0.51v - 0.57v - 0.64v - 0.77v - 0.81v - 0.84v - 0.86v and then goes back down the sequence. It fluctuates like this (up and down) all the time. Does anyone know what this means?
rovervi
Hi mate Not a real mechanical person but i think thats right although it should go over .8 Quote: You should see, at warm idle, a hunt between 0.5v and 0.7v Any solid figure between 0.8 and 1.0v is running too rich and the ECU can't compensate. EDIT: actually mate reading the guide it says a solid figure between .8 and 1 i would take this to mean for example .9 but i think you are fine with what you have although may be running a little rich
Guest emu
Guys, I have exactly the same issue on my N/A my reading are from 0.22 through to 0.71 so im getting a closer range without running rich, however does this mean my supra is running lean. I think the fluctuating Idle issue (leading to stalling in traffic queues on occasion) is a problem a lot of people are getting.
