Graham S
My brother in law had one of those, identical to the one in smokey and the bandit, right down to the glod bird on the bonnet. His was a 5.7 V8 turbo though, had a 3 stage light thing in the bonnet vent to show you boost!! It was mint too, was sat in some widows garage for years, was still on original tires and had only done 20kms on a old x reg! Amazing car and sounded awesome! Rollin_Thunder
thats the same as mine but mines missing all the gold as i have ran out of money but have all the templates ready & that was meant to be the next thing i was going to do & i don't have the T bar glass roof as with the UK weather i didn't see the point... yank tanks you cannot beat them straight line pure power & speed, bends? forget about it you boot it hard into a bend its game over.... but easy to put sideways & have a lot of fun in them scaring hapless boy racer chavs is always fun at 1100 rpm if you kick it down to hard then the rear bites down & starts to get a burn out going at 1500 rpm your smoking at 2000 rpm you lift off throttle & tear up road snaking left & right with smoke bellowing out from rear tires

And the scoop that was pulled off the side? you still have that? What is the spares network like in this country? or is it a case of importing the bits you need from the U.S? Rollin_Thunder
it's far cheaper to import from states side than it is to use some arse in UK who doesn't care about anything but ripping you a new one i have had a lot of bad experiences with suppliers in the UK i bought the same parts for 1/2 the price of UK suppliers like i said the car is stripped & ready to have all the MOT work started on & it can even be driven away ah the scoop on the passenger side was taken by the retards that tried stealing the parts for what i still don't know
DannyW
If i can shift my westfield then i'm interested, but i'd have to convince my mrs which could be a tall order I wouldnt feel comfortable driving a sorn'd car away so i'd have to organise transportation for it. Ive always wanted to learn to weld and i have a mate who's willing to go through it with me so this would be perfect. Hmmm, food for thought anyway.
