Cable
I've been thinking about having another car to get me around and have a bit of a laugh down the lanes in. I was thinking about a cheap cheap MX5 to strip out etc or maybe an AE86 corolla (these tend to be quite expensive) but I happened across this last night and thought it looked fun. 1980 V Reg TOYOTA COROLLA 1600 GT Race car TE71 2 Doors, Manual 5 speed, Coupe, Petrol, Toyota race colours. Alloy wheels. Race car used in classic Group 1 Touring Cars CSCCGB series (class D), 1600cc twin cam 2T engine, rear wheel drive, 180bhp approx, bare shell repaint in original Toyota colours since last race. Ready to go with plumbed in extinguisher, race seat, roll cage, harness, etc. Suitable for classic racing, rallying or drifting. The forerunner to the AE86 Corolla. Not MOT'd but it is registered for the road. £4,000.

Heyrick
That brings back some memories! I had an X reg one of these as my first car in 1989! Great little car, it had two twin choke carbs but my dad's W reg Carina (with the same engine but single carb) would out pull it - I think the twin chokes were set up wrong. Got written off after 6 months (not my fault) and ended up with a 2.0s Capri (not out of choice but it was a fun car to drive!) Really surprised to see there is still one around! Doesn't look like the same engine tho - maybe it's out of the later AE86?
heckler
Mx 5 - just as fun, half the price I'd love to get one.

Cable
Mx 5 - just as fun, half the price I'd love to get one. After careful consideration I think I'll be opting for the MX5. Cheap to buy, abundant parts etc. Unless I manage to find an AE86 on the cheap
